We had a fantastic stay for our large group of friends and young kids. The location is peaceful with beautiful views off the porch. Deer and turkeys abound. Lots to do in and outside the home. Grass Valley and Nevada city close by and plenty of activities/restaurants to explore. Would definitely stay again, great hosts!

Our group of 6 adults loved staying here! Plenty of space to hang out together with local friends that visited for the day. It was a beautiful property and not much left to be desired. I would book again without hesitation. Among the few things important to me: great water pressure in the shower and no complaints of running out of hot water. Bonus having a filtered water dispenser at the sink. Very peaceful stay.

The Ivy is nothing short of perfect for extended stays! It looks brand new, has every amenity you can think of, short walk or drive into downtown to the grocery store or excellent restaurants. Highly recommend!!

We had an amazing stay at this place in Grass Valley! From the moment we arrived, everything was easy and stress-free. The location was perfect—close to town but still peaceful and relaxing, making it a great home base for exploring the area and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. One of our favorite parts of the stay was how peaceful and quiet the area was. It made it really easy to relax and unwind after a day out. The space itself was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed to feel right at home. Access and check-in were super simple, which made the whole experience smooth from start to finish. On top of that, the hosts were fantastic—communication was quick, friendly, and helpful the entire time. Overall, this was a great stay and we’d absolutely come back again. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Grass Valley!

I didn’t think of this as a house to stay in the winter but it is, in fact, a great winter house. We had some cold, rainy days immediately after a huge snow storm. We especially loved gathering by the fireplace in the spacious and comfortable living room. Gazing out into the outdoors surrounding the house, rain or shine was peaceful and mesmerizing. The property is a veritable arboretum with towering Dogwoods and perfectly pruned vines and trees. We cooked many meals in the delightful, well stocked kitchen. Our grandchildren played happily in the adjoining playroom and on the amazing outdoor park like play equipment. They pleaded to swim in the pool, but were quickly deterred once they put their feet in. We stayed at this house the previous June and we all enjoyed the pool and the lovely surroundings. We hope to be able to return frequently in any kind of weather. Very helpful and responsive hosts too!

We enjoyed our stay on a family retreat and appreciated Joy’s responsiveness! The home was gorgeous, the play areas were so fun for our kiddos, and we stayed comfortably with our large group.

This was our best adventure yet. We felt very comfy inside. The A line design was very smart. Each space was utilized to the max without feeling crowded. We felt together as a family, even when someone wanted to read upstairs or be in the kitchen or living room. The patio was covered so we got to see the rain and snow. We loved the gated area for the dogs. It even felt safe to let the kids play in that area. Next time I’ll bring binoculars, there is so much wildlife to view from the porch. The house was everything we needed. We can’t wait to go back to this house for our future adventures.

A last minute cancellation of our previous booking lead us to this gorgeous place. Foothill management saved our vacation to Nevada City we can’t thank them enough. The place is squeaky clean, felt like at home. The kitchen is my favorite spot. The masters bedroom and master’s bathroom is wonderful. It’s private yet the hallmark like downtown is walkable from the house. We enjoyed the nearby amenities including snowboarding at Borreal Mountain. We will definitely come back again.

The house was beautiful with a very unique design. The environment was quiet and peaceful, making it a perfect getaway for a group. The host was extremely responsive and available at all times, quickly solving anything we needed. We truly enjoyed our stay. The area also offers outdoor sports activities; unfortunately, it was rainy during our visit so we couldn’t use them, but we still loved relaxing on the beautiful balcony. Overall, a wonderful experience and highly recommended.

We recently stayed for a holiday “escape”. The house was perfectly suited to our family’s needs, and felt welcoming and comfortable upon arrival. They even had the dining table set for us with holiday themed settings. Instructions were clear and arrival and entry were easy. The home was well stocked with back up towels, garbage bags, and all the essentials for a stay away. Evan was responsive and hospitable, even when the wind caused the wifi to go offline someone came ASAP to correct it with no inconvenience to us even though it was a holiday! The location was perfect to enjoy the area, with Grass Valley and Nevada City a quick jaunt, many stores, restaurants, and amenities available in addition to tons of great hiking trails, parks. It was even a reasonable drive to the snow without committing to a “snow trip”. When we did not feel like going anywhere, we cozied up on the big couch and spending time there felt relaxing and cozy. Highly recommend and hope we can return. :)
